Audio Consoles
As you would expect from any Soundcraft digital mixer the facilities are extensive and include legendary audio quality courtesy of EMMA Lite, the same DSP platform that has helped propell the Si Series to industry standard status; This is united with all the reliability, show management, naming of channels, storing and naming cues and other features that you would expect, but what really sets Si Compact apart from all others is simplicity of operation.
Video Routers
By offering a format independent data path, the EQX supports signals from 3Mb/s all the way up to 3Gb/s including SD-SDI, HD-SDI, DVB-ASI, SMPTE ST 310 digital video formats as well as optical formats and other high data rate signals. In addition to this the EQX supports four independent timing planes which provides independent SMPTE compliant switching for up to four different digital video signal formats.
Video / Audio Processors
High quality and sharp 3G/HD/SD outputs are generated using Evertz's proprietary scaling technology. These modules provide standard as well as user defined ARC modes. Also supporting AFD (SMPTE ST 2016) based steering of ARC modes and can stamp AFD signals on output video. Transitions between ARC modes based on AFD metadata are frame accurate and glitch free. Full broacast quality color correction engines are integrated into the these modules. RGB color legalization and ITU Rec. 709 → 601 color space conversions are also supported.
Embedded audio on incoming video signals is de-embedded (16 channels) and re-embedded onto the 3G/HD/SD outputs with audio delay matching video delay. Additional audio delay is also available. Audio processing is supported including per channel audio gain, channel swapping and inversion controls. Surround sound (5.1 PCM) to stereo (LtRt or LoRo) down-mixes are supported. With -AA variants, 4x analog audio outputs are available for each processing path. With -AES4 variants, two AES (4x mono) digital audio outputs are available for each processing path.
Studio Cameras
Panasonic HD studio camera is a native high-definition studio camera system for studio/direct-to-air switcher facilities and electronic field production. Incorporating three high-performing 2/3" 2.2-megapixel IT CCDs, a newly developed 38-bit digital signal processor, and a 14-bit A/D converter, the HC3500 delivers exceptional HD images in 1080/59.94i and 1080/50i.
Camcorders
Panasonic P2 HD shoulder mount camcorder offers 10-bit, 4:2:2 AVC-Intra recording, low power consumption of only 18 watts and future-proof options, including AVC-ULTRA recording1. The world’s first 2/3” shoulder camcorder under 7 lbs (approximately 6.2 lb), the new series camcorders are equipped with a newly-developed 2/3 type MOS sensor and records in AVC-Intra 100/50, DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO50, DVCPRO, and DV.
